This was from a few years ago, before our old clubby wood paneled living room was renovated into an all paper white serene space. I came across this image when I was organizing my files. I had cut branches and then cut leaf shapes for our Thanksgiving Dinner and asked each guest to write down one thing they were grateful for. I saved them in a box and love looking at them every now and then as a reminder of grace.
When I am feeling low or that there is something missing, I simply look at these leaves and am reminded that what I have is enough. I have a family, friends, a home, a talent, a business and also realize that all of this can be swiftly taken or changed. Take time to cut some branches and add paper leaves to capture what you are grateful for.
