The sweltering heat has each of us looking for the shady side of life or a body of water. Yesterday, my sister, brother-in-law and their grandson and I trekked to The Brooklyn Museum of Art to view the John Singer Sargent watercolor exhibit. The translucent and opacity of the water-color paints used provided much inspiration for capturing light and the color of the light reflected in the shadow. If you can make it before July 28th, I would highly suggest you get there. The number of paintings is mind boggling. Finding the shady side is a challenge, but The Brooklyn Museum was crisp and cool.
