I love the ocean, especially the early morning mist.

“This latest series of paintings are all oceanscapes inspired from the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. This past Summer and Fall, I have photographed both oceans at different times of the day, from the muted grey misty mornings, to the brillant blue skies of the late afternoons, to the gorgeous deep warm reds, pinks and oranges of the sunrises and sunsets. I have captured those delicious hues of the oceans, from the steely greys to ocean teals, and everything in between, to pull the viewer into the painting, and feel that they are resting on its undulating waters. I use these photographs as inspirations, and a jumping off point to start a new piece. Often they reflect the feeling and mood of the photograph, and sometimes they start there, and then become something completely different. Its always a fresh journey each time.”  –Tricia

I am looking forward a day trip to a nearby beach with my husband on Saturday.  We plan to go early.
